Satisfied Improve! by Standard Customers

"I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with the new roof your company installed. Your crew arrived on time, got right to work and had the old roof off, new roof on and sealed up in one day. They were clean, neat and handled themselves in a professional manner. It went so fast that several people stopped by to ask who was doing the job. Your crew returned the next day for some minor trim work and final clean up. They did a fantastic job on the clean up including raking around the house and, due to the wind; they even went to the neighbors to check for debris.

What has really been a surprise to me is the ridge vent that they installed. On a sunny 70-degree day our room above the garage would heat up to the point we would have to open the window. Now even that room is the same temp as the rest of the house. Our attic used to get so hot that you could smell the hot wood smell and feel the heat radiate down from the ceiling. Now we can walk in there on the sunniest of days without gasping for air.

I waited to write this letter to test the job with rain and hot sun and it has passed the test with flying colors. I would recommend (and I have) your company to anyone looking to have their roof replaced."

"My husband and I wanted to close in our screen porch and make it into more of a 3 or 4 season room. We called Improve by Standard, because of the reputation that Standard Lumber has in the local community. They were very prompt in contacting us and setting an appointment around my schedule.

When Jeff, the sales representative for Improve arrived he was very friendly. We have had other companies out for other projects and it seemed like all they wanted to do was try to bash their competition, but Jeff was not like that. He said he was there to talk about Improve and what they had to offer. He did however point out problems in their warranties or in what they had in writing, but would not say anything bad about any other company. He stated that it was up to me to do my homework on the other companies.

Jeff was very informative and gave us several options on how we could enclose our porch. He talked to us about the history of Standard and how they believed in taking care of their customers.

After showing the products and explaining how they would be installed, he answered all of our questions.

When it came time to give us the price he gave us one price, which he said was the best price he could give. What was nice was that there was no “If you do it today the price is...“ tactics. The price that Jeff gave up front was very fair for the job and a warranty that was incredible. There was no pressure from Jeff to do it that day. He understood that we needed to think about this, but we knew right away that Improve was whom we wanted to do business with. The next day I called Jeff and asked him what we needed to do next. He came to my office later that afternoon and I place the order.

A few days later Stephen came out to remeasure the windows and go over what they would be doing and asked if I had any other questions. I asked him where I could get a new piece of glass for my storm door and Stephen told me not to worry about it. That they would pick one up for me.

When the Stephen arrived a few weeks later to install the windows he was again very friendly and got right to work. I had to get to work so I was not able to be there during the installation. When I got home from work they were just finishing up. When I walked out to the porch WOW I could not believe how different it looked. The room was absolutely beautiful. I was totally amazed how nice the job was and how well they cleaned up afterwards. Other than the fact that the room looked totally different you could not tell they were even there. Stephen then showed me how to operate the windows and how easy they were to clean.

My husband and I absolutely love the room and would highly recommend Improve for any home improvement project. Not only for the quality of the work, but also for the way we were treated during this project."

"We were pleased by the service and product that Improve by Standard had to offer when we were ready to replace our bedroom windows. The first contact was made by a very informative sales person who made suggestions taking into consideration our home and budget. Once a brand and style were selected, their installer came to our home to re-measure and double check the window sizes before ordering.

After a few weeks our windows came into the Standard location. The installer contacted us to set up an installation time and date. Our six windows were installed, the mess cleaned up and the old windows removed within 5 hours! We were pleasantly surprised by the professionalism and expertise of the installer.
