New Energy Tax Credits - Save up to $1500 with new windows and doors from Improve! by Standard.

On February 17, 2009, President Obama signed a stimulus bill (The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) that made some significant changes to the energy efficiency tax credits. Among these changes are new tax credits of 30% of the cost for new energy efficient windows and doors, up to $1,500, in 2009 & 2010*.

To qualify for this new tax credit you must follow these guidelines:

1. Purchase qualifying windows or doors with a U-Factor and SHGC of 0.30 or lower.
   
2. Save your sales receipt and each window or door performance label (NFRC/ENERGY STAR® label) with your tax documents.
   
3. Purchase and install qualifying products beginning January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010 and meet all other requirements outlined in the federal tax code.
   
4. Claim the tax credit associated with your qualifying purchase on your Federal filing for the 2009 and/or 2010 tax year.
